I'm 21 with a bad babyface that has made me very insecure about not looking masculine enough. Luckily I've been able to grow a beard sufficient enough to hide the cheeks, but I don't want to hide for the rest of my life, and one day I might have to shave for a job or something. What can be done to achieve a slimmer lower face and defined jawline? Thanks!

Answer: What can I do about my babyface to get a more defined jawline and get rid of my fat lower cheeks? Buccal fat removal is the plastic surgery procedure that permanently corrects the chubby cheeks in patient candidates. In male patients with high cheek bones and strong jaw bone, it helps to achieve a more masculine and model-like facial look. The video below helps to understand who could be a candidate for buccal fat removal.

Answer: Lower Face Slimming and Definition A buccal fat removal procedure can help slim the lower face if the patient is suitable. It can also help create more definition in that area as well. Fillers or implants can also provide enhancement and more definition in the jawline which can help masculinize the face. It is recommended to consult a board certified facial plastic surgeon and discuss your options after a physical examination.Hope this helps,Ali Rıza Öreroğlu, MD FEBOPRASEuropean and Turkish Board Certified Aesthetic, Plastic and Reconstructive SurgeonIstanbul, Turkey
