What can I do about my babyface to get a more defined jawline and get rid of my fat lower cheeks? (photos)

I'm 21 with a bad babyface that has made me very insecure about not looking masculine enough. Luckily I've been able to grow a beard sufficient enough to hide the cheeks, but I don't want to hide for the rest of my life, and one day I might have to shave for a job or something. What can be done to achieve a slimmer lower face and defined jawline? Thanks!

I am all too familiar with this problem and, while your beard is covering your cheeks so I can't really see them in the photos you submitted, I think I get it.Buccal fat removal is certainly one of your options and will help with a subtle improvement to your facial contour.  That said, it is also a rather subtle change.  Many of my patients in NYC want something a bit more impactful.Cheek Liposuction has become very popular in my office for patients who want a more profound change.  So, if it's true that you really do have large cheeks, you should consider this as well.Good Luck!

When a patient has a full and round face and despite weight loss the fullness persist or if the patient is in his normal weight and the chipmunk faces has stayed all the time, a bichectomy or buccal fat pad removal is useful. It´s true that with aging the buccal fat pad tends to diminish in volume do to atrophy, but if the volume is excessive a bichectomy will not hollow the cheek overtime. Many patients are happy with the results, a proper selection is a very important manner. Usually the procedure takes less than 10 min and you can go homethe same day. You'll be able to go back to work on the 3rd day post-op but 1 week off would be more comfortable. Combining this with chin lipo has a very powerful result. This will improve your jawline making it look masculine and chiseled.

Great question!  Yes a buccal lipectomy can help improve your facial shape by shrinking down the lower cheek region.  By doing this, the jawline and the cheeks become more defined and contoured.  Another treatment to think about is Botox to the posterior jawline as this will also help slim the face from a more squared to a more oval appearance on the frontal views.  However, it is always best to have an in person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon so that your goals are reviewed and the best treatment recommended

For men I would start with jawline scuplting. You would be surprised how easy the reovery and procedure is. You can do it under local anesthesia with a couple of numbing shots. It takes about 30-45 minutes. Ofcourse I can't tell what we're working with since you are bearded but the results generally help sculpt the jawline which look great on pretty much ANYONE!
