Despite being in great shape and exercising regularly, I retain excess fat in my buccal pads and have a round lower face in general - its genetic. I am going to get surgery to improve this, but I'm just trying to decide what procedures would be best to help me achieve my goal. My goal is a more square, strong, conventionally attractive jaw and cheeks. I was thinking possibly a slight buccal fat pad removal & maybe jaw implant. Last picture is what i would like to achieve. All input appreciated.
Answer: Buccal Fat Pad and Chin Lipo Suggestion When a patient has a full and round face and despite weight loss the fullness persist or if the patient is in his normal weight and the chipmunk faces has stayed all the time, a bichectomy or buccal fat pad removal is useful. It´s true that with aging the buccal fat pad tends to diminish in volume do to atrophy, but if the volume is excessive a bichectomy will not hollow the cheek overtime. Many patients are happy with the results, a proper selection is a very important manner. Usually the procedure takes less than 10 min and you can go homethe same day. You'll be able to go back to work on the 3rd day post-op but 1 week off would be more comfortable. Combining this with chin lipo has a very powerful result. This will improve your jawline making it look masculine and chiseled.

Answer: Male Face Contouring There are several procedures available to help men get a more masculine and defined jawline. In a case like this one, I would suggest some liposuction along the jawline and potentially even up to the lower cheek area in make sure to create a chiseled appearance. Also, buccal fat pad removal is very popular and helps define both the jaw and cheekbones.Good Luck!

Answer: Buccal lipectomy Great question! The best procedure for you is a buccal lipectomy as this will provide you with the contoured and chiseled look you desire. You can fat graft the areas such as the posterior jawline, to improve the volume in these areas. Liposuction of the chin/neck region can also improve your appearance to your wish photos as well. Best of luck and hope his information helps! - Dr. Roger Tsai Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Buccal Lipectomy and Jawline contouring Your options would include some lipocontouring which isn't to really remove fat but to create a plane of scar to tighten the skin along your jawline. This can then be combined with a buccal lipectomy which chisels your cheeks more and either a jaw implant or preferably filler. While the implant is permanent and a better option I would start with filler once to make sure it is something you like. You would need 1cc on each side. This can all be done under $5000 and maybe a little more if you are getting the mandible implant.
