PRP done about a year ago, Should I go for 1 session or 3 ? (Photo)

Question

I had 3 PRP sessions about a year ago, 11 months to be precise. I saw improvements after about 4 months. I haven't had any maintenance sessions since. Should I go for 1 maintain session or should I have 3 sessions again (as they say maintenance session should be done after 6 months)?

Thank you for your question. I think either would be just fine, but I'd probably lean more toward repeating the 3 sessions and then transitioning into maintenance sessions.

Studies have shown that 3 or 4 PRP sessions are necessary in order to stimulate the stem cells to grow new hair.  An increase in thickness of the existing hair can be obtained with a single session.  If one is on monotherapy, 3 sessions are probably necessary in order to kickstart the regrowth process .

It all depends on the severity of hair loss at this time, if there is no hair loss at this time, maybe once or twice per year is enough

It depends. I can not see the before and after pictures here. If you have a significant hair loss but in your scalp there are hair follicles you can do more than one session. Actually I recommend at least 3 sessions. There is no standard protocol to when to do the maintenance session. at least to it every 6 months.

For the maximum result you should do 6 session totally. So you've already done 3, you can continue this way: 1 per month. After your treatment you'll get a break.
