Is a second hair shredding 8 months after a hair transplant normal? (photos)

Shedding immediately after and a few months after a hair transplant procedure can happen, and it doesn't necessarily mean that anything is wrong. Sometimes the hairs that were transplant start a "synchronized" hair cycle, which causes them to shed at the same time. Eventually, this will resolve. PRP can also trigger shedding. Best thing to do is to communicate this with your surgeon so he/she is aware of it and can guide you.

1. I think you have to check with your doctor how many grafts he placed on the crown. Sometimes, AGA can be really aggressive even with the medications. 2. You might want to see a dermatologist to exclude conditions other than AGA such as lichen planopilaris, telogen effluvium etc.
3. If it is confirmed that it is AGA then you might want to consider dutasteride instead of finasteride
