Three and half month after dental implant and still sensation when I touch them, is this common?

its been three and half months post dental implant and an temporary cap is n place. I still fell sensation when I touch the gum or the cap. Is this common? Also, I am smoking three cigarettes per day and I am more concerned if it has affected the teeth.

There are many reasons for that. it's my advice to visit your implant dentist. do not touch/feel that implant again and again. if dentist will feel, he may take an x-ray to check the surrounding bone condition.

After 3.5 months, it's time to have an xray of the implant to make sure it has integrated. Smoking during the healing phase possibly caused the implant to fail. You won't know if it is healthy or failed until you see your doctor.
