My experience with her was exceptional. It was more of personal care than anything else. 3 years back I was the first american patient for her, that's what she told me. Although she had patients from many other countries met an Australian. Now I am told there are a lot people from US southern states getting their treatment from her. I didn't originally go to her but the dentist for which I flew all the way from US to Delhi, was not at all competent with all on 4 procedure. I met 4 other dentist and none could give me the confidence. I came across their website and wondered if they are better than the others. Getting appointment with her is easy, you just have to tell that you are a visitor and they prioritize and unlike other dental offices they just do implants, so you get a slot easily. After initial examination she sought two hours of time to study the cone beam CT scan. I waited at the office and then a treatment plan was offered which inlcluded bone grafts for all the extracted teeth 16 of them in all, Nobel Biocare all on 4. After 5 months 14 zirconia teeth on each arch, I had slight challenge with one upper implant in the integration which was not not really doctors fault but I had less bone there (also I am diabetic). Overall great experience it been little more than 02 years and till date no problem. I could never have got dental implants if it was not for Dr. Jyoti. Thank you!
Well everything was a challenge for me when it comes to teeth perhaps its hereditary. I was wearing dentures for 4 years now and I have changed 2 sets of upper arch for some reason either gums would change shape or whatever, dentures would ill-fit after half a year. Decided to look for a permanent solution but the investment was eye watering both in US and even in Australia. Most of my peers back in Australia were flying abroad for dental work and off late India was a preferred destination. I started my search right here at realself and found a review about Center for dental Implants & esthetics - I was skeptic initially looking at the young doctors team. I started my discussion, had skype sessions and phone calls with them. Shared my pictures, radiographs, finally when got the suggested treatment plan, I was convinced. September 11th was my first visit to one of their center in Gurgaon, its part of capital city Delhi but more modern in every sense, I must say I was not expecting this, the city although crowded like every other place in India, has good infrastructure is much cleaner. I stayed close to the Center which is again near a big hospital and you have a lot of foreign patients in the area, the whole street has hospitals like the two women's hospital I visited for general check arranged by Center for dental implants team. My final radiographs were taken and explained about the procedure in-person by Dr Joe (as they call her - she is a young lady in early 30s perhaps), There I learnt why it is important to have right placement for implants - right alignment of teeth in terms of direction, bite and chewing efficiency. They used a computer aided surgical guide for implant placement for accuracy and precision. I chose Nobel Biocare although they have less costlier options also but I wanted the best and also doctor suggested that Nobel biocare results with people my age. Once I was back in Houston, I kept in touch with Dr Joe. For the second visit on 15th Dec, I had my husband also with me, he wanted a prostrate check-up done at Artemis Hospital. Everything went on as planned. One radiograph to confirm implants had integrated with the bone, measurement was taken and we were ready for the new CERAMIC teeth. Dr Joe is prosthetics experts that actually helped in getting right set of crowns, almost like my natural teeth, I had been missing. About the dental office - its the cleanest that I have ever seen, newly built, this is their second office in Gurgaon. They do take care of contamination and sterilization, I was impressed the moment I went inside the operation area. Center gave us a free pick & drop from the airport to hotel. In my opinion since they are specialist implant center, they are a better option for implants. From ill-fitting dentures to implants has been a great journey. I was skeptic re surgery for implant but again it is not very painful, you remain on antibiotics for 5 days and pain killers for a couple of days but its bearable. I was waiting to write this - just wanted to see the crowns how they come up, they are nice. Updated on 8 Feb 2018: I am shy but here you go.
5 Extractions 9 Implants in all. I wanted to see a new country having lived in states all my life….so I considered Europe, Thailand and India, I never saw this guide but did some research on the Internet, got quotes and even spoke on phone. Finally settled for India, because I knew English is widely spoken and for a procedure like implants I wanted to be able to communicate with the dentist well. I chose center for dental implants & esthetics in Delhi suburb called Gurgam. Young team of 4-5 folks ..it’s a boutique dental office- they mostly focus on implants and that’s what I wanted. All the dentist and their patient care team speak good English, so no problem there. They managed my accommodation, mid-range hotel but absolutely no problem was around $50-60 I believe. First visit for 7 days. Day 1 Set of X-rays were done again, done thorough examination dental chart was prepared. Left for sight seeing OLD DELHI, what culture, came back again in the evening – discussed the treatment plan. They work on Sundays too…so over the weekend all extractions were done and sutures placed, medication was given. Day 3 after review found ok to go for sight seeing. Day 4 went to Taj Mahal what a sight….marvelous structure did some shopping. Day 5 -Day7 more tour in Delhi and flight back to Alabama. Second visit after 4 months another 7 days I kept 3 days exclusively for Rajasthan – Jaipur & Jodhpur….loved it. The whole process was smooth. They will help you with visa and air tickets too, prompt with request and I learnt they throw in surprise package for companion, although I was alone. I saved almost 25K in the whole deal but it’s worth your time and effort. I will recommend them for their treatment planning.
Ideally Teeth alignment should have been done before alignment. But if you already have got implants those cant be moved unfortunately. i still suggest you discuss with an implant specialist. Possibly what can be done in your case is a combination of treatment like natural teeth other than implants can we moved and implant crowns/caps can be redesigned after alignment is over. Still if implants become unusable after alignment, its better to leave them submerged in bone so that when you lose rest of your natural teeth in your 60s /70s that submerged implant would still be usable. but going for invasive procedure of removal of implant unnecessarity should be avoided at all costs. Good luck! I will be able to advise you better if you can share close up images of teeth that will help.
If the teeth could not be saved at any cost . A proper diagnosis and treatment planning is mandatory in such cases. In the scientific literature it is mentioned that if a patient smokes 10-12 cigarettes per day, risk of implants failure would increase upto 70%. A thorough tobacco quitting protocol should be followed at least 2 and if possible for 3 weeks prior to implant surgery and 2-3 weeks post surgery. Alcohol has a synergistic effect with smoking and interferes with the medications given for implant healing after surgery. So if someone takes good care of All - on 4 prosthesis. Regular annual visits and check ups and strict oral hygiene practices are followed implant will survive with a 90-95 percent survival rate provided patient is keeping tobacco consumption low. Also apart from this there are other medical situations too like high blood pressure or blood sugar which contributes to bone loss around implants and leads to failure. Now answering your question even if an implant fails. Doctor needs to see the possibility of grafting at the place where the implant has failed. After grafting the site and few months wait , reimplantation can be made possible and prosthesis can be redone. And thus it is important to practice oral hygiene practices diligently specially with implants as they give way easily than natural teeth.
I understand that one is supposed to take care of teeth and stay healthy. Tip for you and people like you to stay healthy would be to brush twice correctly with vertical strokes and rinse after every meals. But still if someone needs All on 4 on All on 6 implant supported teeth. You have other cheaper fixed options than All on 4 or All on 6 like snap on over dentures. Same All on 4 Nobel implant and prosthesis would cost one third here in India with highly experienced and team of doctors trained from premium institutes of India. Also it is important that one should save as much natural teeth as possible and All on 4 or All on 6 should be done only when conventional rehabilitation options would not have been successful. Good luck
Try in for ALL ON 4 works in a way that if you don't have any natural teeth and wants to go for all on 4 or all on 6 Implants, prosthetic dentist will first take three different measurements and in the 4th appointment you will be shown a wax try-in of teeth that you can change according to your liking after discussing with dentist . Size, shape, color, position , fullness , youthful appearance can be managed as per your will. And once you approve them you will get them converted to temporary screw -in. Good thing about these temporary screw-in is that you can again change anything in your final permanent teeth in case you / your family doesn't like one or the other thing about it.
Possible reasons could be. 1. Natural teeth mobility may not be related to the time of crown placement. They can be loose due to their own bone support around roots weakened. 2. As implants can not get compressed into bone while biting and if you have the habit of clenching or grinding the teeth at night after crown placement , due to trauma from bite and para functional habits natural teeth can become loose. Night guard is advised for the same to protect both natural teeth and implant if that is the case. 3. There may be some heavy contact or interferences during forward and side to side movements on the natural teeth which is supposed to be checked by the prosthetic dentist. 4. If there was some bone expansion or bone shaping dine during implant placement. Because of healing and reModelling also bone around tooth can get resorbed that could be another reason for mobility. Share some Xrays and clinical close up photos of your teeth . May be then I will be able to help you in a better manner. Take Care
