Is the swelling above the hip bone normal after flank lipo? (Photo)

Liposuction results in temporary swelling of the tissues during the recovery.  This is normal.  The swelling often takes a few months to fully improve.  I usually see near complete resolution of swelling in 4 months.  At 2 weeks the areas will most certainly be puffy.  If you are concerned you should make sure you see your plastic surgeon.

Swelling is the norm, and not the exception, after liposuction. Make sure you wear your compression garment to help reduce the swelling but you will have to give your body time to heal to see your final shape/result. I usually advise my patients to wait a good 4-6 months to see their final shape because it can take swelling months to completely resolve. Good luck!

Most likely the shape you are seeing is related to the swelling. Best to give it several months to settle down.  Best of luck.

Are you sure you had liposuction preformed??? Allow 2 months healing to just be sure it is not swelling....
