I am having a breast aug. June 13. I have a 18 month old. Before I had her, I never weighed more than 115 lbs. Now, I am 5'1 and 140 lbs. I plan on losing 10 lbs before my BA. My Dad, a doctor, told me that he thinks my PA will not let me get my BA until I am 15 lbs lighter. Other than the extra lbs., I am very healthy, I don't smoke, I exercise, normal blood pressure, etc. Have you ever denied someone from having surgery, who was healthy, just for being 10 or 15 lbs. from their ideal weight?
Answer: After pregnancy lift is frequently required Unfortunately, your photograph is not helpful.Since you have had a pregnancy, you may benefit from a simultaneous lift.I recommend a new technique called Breast Augmentation with Mini Ultimate Breast LiftTM.Using only a circumareola incision it is possible to reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage.Through the same incision, implants can be placed.Aligning the areola, breast tissue and implant over the bony prominence of the chest wall maximizes anterior projection with a minimal size implant.Small round textured silicone gel implants placed retro-pectoral position look and feel more natural, are more stable, less likely to ripple or have complications needing revision.Implant profile is irrelevant in the retro-pectoral position since the muscle compresses it.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Lose weight before not after breast augmentation If you lose weight after your breast augmentation it will change the shape of your breast and can cause sagging. NextIn be a shame to have a breast augmentation to achieve the look that you want and then have it changed by weight loss.I do believe your father's correct that if you can lose the 15 pounds first then you'll most likely will achieve a better result after your breast augmentation. If the breast is sag then you may need a small lift. Or if the breast is smaller after weight loss a larger implant may be required.

Answer: 5'1 140 lbs. too heavy for breast aug? Thank you for the question. Although weight loss will not have a direct effect on your breast implants, significant weight loss may affect the appearance of your breasts in general. It is difficult to predict how a specific young lady's breasts will change with weight loss; how the breasts were affected historically with weight loss may be the best indication how you will do.Generally speaking, significant weight loss can lead to some change in breast tissue (and/or nipple/areola) position; this “sagging” is called breast ptosis medically. Therefore, generally speaking, it is in patient's best interest to achieve a long-term stable weight prior to undergoing elective breast surgery.I hope this, and the attached link, help.
