Can my mole on lower eyelid (waterline) be removed safely? (Photo)

My mole on lower eyelid started off like a freckle and has gotten darker throughout the years. It doesn’t bother me but I don’t like how it looks. Can I have it safely removed? Would my eyelashes be compromised during the removal? What type of doctor would I go see to have this removal?
