Can my mole on lower eyelid (waterline) be removed safely? (Photo)

Question

My mole on lower eyelid started off like a freckle and has gotten darker throughout the years. It doesn’t bother me but I don’t like how it looks. Can I have it safely removed? Would my eyelashes be compromised during the removal? What type of doctor would I go see to have this removal?

yes this can be removed safely.
I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Moles can be removed with laser, radiowave or shave. There is always a chance of scar but this can be reduced with good technique and the right treatment choice.  You need to pretreat this area with emerageskin AOX-C, Skinceuticals phytoplus in the AM and Reveskin retinol 1.0 at night with fortified bleaching cream or vivatia foam. Best, Dr. Emer

I would have a oculoplastic or facial plastic surgeon evaluate the lesion. You will likely need a small wedge resection if you wish it removed. This can be done with likely minimal scarring. Hope this helps. Dr. W
