Do you recommend redoing the crown or just removing the overhang? (Photo)

i had this crown for over two months it was very plaue retentive and soon i had pain in bitting and throbing continuous pain couldnt sleep at night my cheeks where acking i removed the crown my dentist told me it needs simple adjacements but am not so sure it can solve all the problems, pls my dentist told me i had periodontal pocket..what do you suggest

Difficult to see on the x-ray because it is so dark.  Simple adjustments mean that it could need to have the bite on top smoothed down to fit better with the other teeth.  As for a periodontal pocket, there are several things that can be done to keep that gum area clean and healthy to reduce the pocket.  If the pocket is due to an "overhang", the crown should be redone to help heal the gums.

Hi:It is difficult to clearly see exactly what is going on with the crown.  Normally if there is an overhang with the crown that is causing food impaction the crown has to be redone.Best,Dr. Maddahi
