I have experienced shifting after braces even with wearing my hawley retainers daily for 3 years. Adjustments were made on retainers and now I have an open bite. My retainers don't fit well and my teeth are loose. My teeth shifted to positions that rub and create soreness like my canines being right on top on one another; it is very uncomfortable. Can bad retainers cause more damage to my short roots? Is Invisalign a viable option or an unnecessary risk?
