Can I go back to the gym 2 weeks after rhinoplasty? Im just going to do low intensity cardio on the trademill. And when can I do weight lifting? Like more than 100 lbs..chest press leg press lat pull down stuff like that.

I usually recommend that my patients don't return to their full work-out routines until three weeks after their rhinoplasty. Light weights, jogging, or cardio activities are ok to participate in two weeks after your procedure. It's a good idea to follow the post-operative guidelines set by your plastic surgeon.

Each surgeon has his/her preference when it comes to resuming activity after rhinoplasty. I allow my patients to start light cardio (such as jogging on the treadmill) at 2 weeks post op, and allow them to return to full workouts at 4 weeks.

Great questions, but they should be answered by your surgeon. Post-op limitations vary tremendously depending on what was done during the operation. Follow your surgeon's recommendations. I admit that I have become more cautious after doing this work for 35 years - why risk compromising surgical results that will last the rest of your life so you can go back to the gym a little sooner.
