Hello. I've never liked my bump but I've also noticed that my nose is deviated (especially when I take photographs). I've seen two ORL specialists who said that I have a very irrelevant nose deviation (septum) and I don't have any problem to breath but I don't like it (esthetic). I've also noticed that my nose is moving when I'm speaking (the bottom) and not especially when I smile (or it is not relevant). Is my case complex/risked for a rhinoplasty ? What can I expect or not ? Thank you

Answer: Deviated Nose Which Moves when I Speak (Only, Not when I'm Smiling) + Bump?
A flat nose is best addressed by building up the bridge with cartilage grafts harvested from inside the nose and osteotomies to narrow the very wide bridge. The nostrils can be narrowed through an alar-plasty procedure.
The alar base suture can be removed, but you may need another procedure to narrow the base if this is done. Kenneth Hughes, MD Los Angeles, CA
