Congratulations on your recent surgery and thank you for sharing your question about your post operative recovery and results after your surgery. Final results can take 6-12 months for all the swelling to subside. At our office we actually see all of our surgery patients the very next day after surgery and then again at two weeks and beyond. Thank for your question. You are still healing, so you might see some continued improvements over the next few months. However, I'd bet that your surgeon made your muscles as tight as they could be. What you are experiencing might just mean that you have a higher component of "intra-abdominal"...
Thanks for your inquiry, if you can call your surgeon's office in Miami and speak to them ASAP they should be able to walk you through a plan which may or may not include a visit to to the ER, but at least you will have discussed other options before just going. Good Luck.
