I had axillary breast tissue excised 8 days ago. Although they area is vastly improved, it's still bigger than I want it to be. The surgeon said he was aggressive with the removal. Is that swelling perhaps? How long after this procedure can one typically expect to see a somewhat final result?

Based on the photo, there seem to be no signs of infection or necrosis. This is possibly just a hematoma. Have your surgeon examine the area on your next visit or schedule an appointment if the pain increases.
