8 days post op axillary breast tissue removal. How long after this procedure can one typically expect to see final result?

I had axillary breast tissue excised 8 days ago. Although they area is vastly improved, it's still bigger than I want it to be. The surgeon said he was aggressive with the removal. Is that swelling perhaps? How long after this procedure can one typically expect to see a somewhat final result?
