Uneven nostrils after rhinoplasty. Is this fixable through local anesthesia? (Photo)

It is best to wait one full year after your surgery before assessing your final results, as your nose will be in a stage of recovery until this time. After a year has passed, your nostrils can be made more symmetrical with an alar base reduction. You also may want to consider dermal filler injections to improve your nostril symmetry temporarily at the six-month mark.

When considering revision rhinoplasty, please keep in mind that each subsequent nose surgery becomes more complex due to the loss of structural support, scar tissue, and other factors. The importance of experience, expertise, and artistry cannot be overstated. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon, with expertise in rhinoplasty techniques. They will be able to review your surgical history, oversee your recovery, and help you decide on the best course of action.

Hello! Thank you for your question.From the photos you provided it looks like cartilage have moved to the left side of your nose. This is fixable but I personally don't recommend to do it under local anesthesia.

We have seen Asymmetries at the base of the nose get better from 6 months to one year postoperative. If at all possible, sit tight for another 6 months. If you're very concerned about the appearance of your nose, consider getting a copy of your operative report and Consulting with another reputable rhinoplasty specialist in the meantime. In the end, if there is still a drop of nostril asymmetry on front view, microdroplet Silikon-1000 maybe considered for lowering the left nostril margin to be at the same height as the right, for better symmetry.
