Web scarring after Asian blepharoplasty - 6 months post-op. (Photos)

Question

I have very bad scaring after my second blepharoplasty. The doctor that I went to is a popular Asian plastic surgeon in Australia. But I feel that he does not want to help me and says that scars are expected. I can't even cover the scars up with makeup. It's very deep in the inner corners. What are my options to reduce the visibility of the scars? I am 6 months post op.

Scarring on this part of the face are very difficult to conceal. It could be that the skin has not been reattached very well or it can just be a reaction of your own skin. Scar revision may be necessary, however, if that does not work, a more complicated procedure may be required such as a Z-plasty which aims to improve the appearance of scarring.

To be fair from the photos the scars appear to be progressing well for 6 months. Of course a closer inspection without make up is needed but don't be fooled into buying into a scar revision, often it disappoints more depending on the location.

The scars you have widened, it appears.  You also appear to have requested a medial epicanthoplasty.  That shows a scar nearly 100% of the time.  That one likely can't be helped.  The widen scar laterally on the lid may be something you can improve with excisions and closure with dissolvable deep sutures or leaving superficial sutures a bit longer than the usual 5-7 days.Chase Lay MDAsian eyelid surgery specialist
