Lip enhancement - what treatment would you recommend? (Photo)

Question

Hi! I have been looking for alternatives to constant HA injections. I have undergone 2 fat transfers to the lips with very minimal and subtle changes. I knew it would be subtle but worth a try. I would like something like Renuva over the top seeing as I do have fat in there already however as it's not meant for the lips (due to not having natural fat occurring however in my case I do) and not having much luck finding a provider. Is there anything else you recommend? Sculptra? Ect. Thank you

You may want to consider a lip lift.  A lip lift does 4 things: shortens the distance between your nose and upper lip, increases the mucosa of the upper lip, increases the incisor show and pulls up the corners.

When fat grafting is performed in the lips, it is not the fat cells, but the connective tissue that survives and produces final results. In order to have a noticeable final result, the person has to look almost like an orangutan immediately after such a procedure. Majority of patience do not wish to look this way. You do not want to have sculptra or Renuva injected into your lips. I would stick with either Revanesse or Juvaderm. Either one will provide an excellent result in good hands. My personal experience has been that Voluma is superior for lip meditation in regards to longevity.
Choosing the right product is pretty important and a fillers are still considered the gold standard.
Fillers are precise, predictable, and forgiving if patients don’t like the outcome.
 Radiesse is Long lasting, but not recommended for lips.
It has been known to cause granulomas.
Granulomas are unlikely if the product is placed in the lip, but this treatment is questionable since the manufacturer does not support it. 
Bellafill it’s a potential other long-term solution, but all of these products, with some risk and potential complications.
There are providers who are injecting medical grade silicone, who claim to have high-quality permanent outcomes.
Many plastic surgeons are against any type of silicone injection, especially those who have taken care of patient who had free silicone injection in their breast, which was common in the 1970s and earlier.
Fat transfer is by its very nature, imprecise, unpredictable, and potentially unforgiving if patients don’t like the outcome as facial augmentation treatments.
For body contouring fat transfer is a much better option.
For facial work grafting fat is much more complicated.
Other options, people have tried include silicone implants as well as adipose dermal grafts (skin graft containing fat with epidermis removed).
If we had a solid long-term solution, then everybody would be doing it.
The fact that people are still primarily doing a fillers is because it remains the best option.
