Infini RF treatment for acne scarring?

Can this treatment be performed whilst a patient is on a low dose of roaccutane?. If not, would a dermatologist perform said treatment at all before beginning roaccutane to any benefit?

Great question: in general you must be off of accutane for 6 months before undergoing cosmetic procedures. Infini is a fantastic treatment for acne scarring, and could be done before starting on accutane. In general, Infini requires several treatments 4-6 weeks apart. Once you are recovered from the last Infini, you would be able to start on the accutane if it is really neccessary.

The general consensus is that lasers can NOT be performed on patients who are on isotretinoin. Depending on your history I am comfortable performing treatments such as eMatrix on low dose isotretinoin, other dermatologist option may vary. High energy INFINI RF can be performed in SOME cases of isotretinoin patients however my cut off dose is 20mg twice a week and no history of hypertrophic scarring. Once again this is only my opinion and may not be reflected upon other experts in the field.  More info. on treatments in the web reference below.
