What is this flap of fat that hangs covering my privates? Can it be fixed and if it can be, how much does it cost? (Photo)

I have had it for as long as I can remember and i'm not sure as to what it is, I have seen something about it on T.V, and they said something about an apron, i didn't catch all of it.

An abdominal pannus is the skin and fat that overhang the pubic area. A pannus can hang quite low, as you have noticed. The underlying skin crease is subject to skin irritation and infections, and the skin itself can develop chronic infections. The treatment to resolve these issues is a panniculectomy, where the overhanging skin and fat are removed. This is different from an abdominoplasty because the abdominal muscles are not tightened, and the skin above the belly button is not addressed. Thank you for your question!

Thank you for the question and picture. The tissue that is "covering your privates" consists of excess skin and adipose tissue. This excess tissue can be referred to as a "panes".  Treatment of the specific area would involve a panniculectomy operation.The panniculectomy operation involves excision of the lower abdominal wall pannus or  overhanging skin/adipose tissue. It is not considered an  aesthetically driven procedure (it differs from a tummy tuck operation);  it is often performed to help with concerns such as skin breakdown, infections/rashes… Costs of surgery will vary from one practice to another and from one region to another as well.
