Early April 2016 I had fillers injected Temples, forehead. under eyes, chin, checks, lips, cheeks, basically everywhere! My concern is, I feel the filler is moving down on sode of temple /eye. Ive tried to choose a photo that shows this. My doctor is in another state so not easy to visit. Ive sent him phots but her says everything looks great. I feel it makes that are look puffy and has a shadow in certain light/angles. I'd appreciate your feedback
Answer: Downward Migration of three year old fillers Thank you for your query! It is not clear what kind of fillers you had. Most fillers that are commonly used (hyaluronic acid) do not stay beyond two years, although a very small amount may remain. The treatment at this time may be to try and dissolve the fillers, (if possible) and use autologous fat grafting to smoothen and enhance the contours. Please find an experienced Board certified Plastic surgeon who can examine you and help you with all your concerns. All the best!

Answer: Can Fillers Move? Fillers are injected into tissue, not a hollow space, so they don't technically have the capability of "moving" - but, in some instances, early on, fillers placed into areas of high movement can "bunch", which is why placement, filler choice and your choice of injector physician is very important. In your case, it's likely you were used to the added volume and once the filler broke down, the natural volume loss you sought to replace originally has returned. Aging doesn't stop, so even with fillers and/or collagen stimulators, we'll all see the effects of collagen loss and tissue shifting.Anatomy is the boss, not necessarily what you think you want to inject where. Fillers in general are temporary, with the exception of Bellafil, which is a sanctioned semi permanent filler for acne scars - or silicone, which is not sanctioned at all for cosmetic use. Most patients choose to top off fillers as the fillers degrade. The key to keeping everything looking natural over time is maintenance.

Answer: Filler Question Dear melizoo99,Fillers should not migrate, especially 3 years after injection. Hyaluronic acid fillers should be long absorbed by then. The only exception is silicone, in which case all bets are off. You need to at least call your injector and see if they have records of what was injected into your temples.Good luck,Nirmal R. Answer: Is filler from temples moving down to end's of eyebrows 3 years after treatment? Fillers should not move, especially 3 years after injection. I think it is unlikely that your filler has moved. It is possible that certain areas of your face are losing some volume, and this will alter your appearance and could be causing the issue you see. It is possible that some areas need more filler to maintain your results.

Answer: Unlikely It is hard to tell whether there is a difference since I don't know what your face looked like before the fillers. However, facial fillers typically do not last three years and should not be "dropping" at that point. The filler settles within a few days after the procedure, but if you are concerned you could schedule an appointment to get it dissolved, if it truly is the filler.
