I’m interested in getting Venus Viva treatments for enlarged pores on my nose. I’ve been watching a few videos of the Venus Viva in action, with some practitioners giving clients metal goggles to wear, while some other practitioners don’t. I’m concerned if this could damage my eyes if I don’t wear eye protection?

The reason that some people put eyewear on a patient is for comfort, and frankly, for not having to deal with patients staring at them. There is no need to wear the eyewear and it won't do anything to your eyes. "This answer has been solicited without seeing this patient and cannot be held as true medical advice, but only opinion.
