I am 29 years old and starting developing severe under eye hollows about 6 months ago. I went to a board certified dermatologist at a reputable office and was treated with filler two times under and around the eye within the past month. The first time he used belotero and the second time he used juvederm. The filler has made the eye hollows even more prominent and now there is an even greater depression line and indentation below my eyes. Please help me find a solution ASAP I can't wait this out
Answer: These products are not just going to disappear. I personally do not use Juvederm or Belotero for the under eye area. These products are so-called smooth fillers. They tend to migrate in the lower eyelid/top of cheek. That is a bad thing. The products persist far longer than you or your dermatologist think. For that reason, enzyme is needed to break down product that is not doing what it is supposed to. Once you have the bad product removed, the correct service can be performed. You need someone who actually knows what they are doing and that turns out to be very frustrating. You might consider seeing an oculoplastic surgeon for enzyme or consider coming out to Los Angeles to have this corrected.

Answer: Under eye bags I am sorry to hear that filler didn't fix your issues. I have had great success with Restylane (I use it on myself), but a lot depends on the injector. Without assessing you in person, it is impossible to recommend the right course of action. My best advice would be for you to schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon in your area to discuss your options. My best, Dr. Sheila Nazarian @drsheilanazarian on Instagram

Answer: Under eye hollows in younger patients Thank you for the question. Without photos, I can't make specific recommendations. However, I will say that small amounts of well-placed hyaluronic acid fillers can be very helpful. It seems that you didn't have a great experience with this... Misplaced filler can be dissolved using small doses of an injectable enzyme (hyaluronidase). In my practice, I routinely use Restylane or Belotero in the tear trough area. Rarely, this results in excess puffiness. Other non-surgical options include laser or radiofrequency modalities that can tighten the skin and promote collagen growth. A final option is fat grafting to the lower eyelid and cheek region. This is a more permanent solution but should be approached cautiously in younger patients.

Answer: FILLERS You may want to talk to a doctor to see if fillers may work for you. Maybe talk to them about Belotero, or what other fillers they recommend. this is something that you do not need surgery for unless it is necessary. Lower Blephs. The price for surgery starts at $3,500.

Answer: Dark Circles, Eyelid Wrinkles/Bags Treatment -- Restylane or Belotero with Cannulas, Clear+Brilliant, Eclipse Micropen, Viva There are many ways t o treat dark circles, as well as under eye wrinkles and bags. It is important to note however, that the majority of times the cause for discoloration is genetic and due to the viability of the blood vessels below the skin. A combination approach is always needed to get the best results in this area and this includes: topical skin care, laser and/or radiofrequency treatments, and fillers if placed appropriately. All my patients are on topical lightening agents, typically a vitamin C serum product in the AM and a brightening agent and/or a vitamin A based product in the PM. Sun protection is essential.Resurfacing and tightening are essential. My patients get offered a menu of options, for which a combination gives the best results. Light salicylic acid peels help give textural and pigment improvement; nonablative lasers (Fraxel or Clear + Brilliant) can be used to tighten and improve fine lines/wrinkles and crepe skin; fractional radiofrequency devices (Sublative, Viva) are cutting edge and improve texture, tone, and wrinkles with very little downtime; radiofrequency with pulsed electromagnetic fields (Venus) are amazing for puffiness and bags, in patients who do not want eyelid surgery; appropriately placed fillers can replace lost volume, cover up the vessels and fat pads below improving the appearance -- patients should pick a well experienced practitioner to prevent complications such as Tyndall (blue discoloration) and irregularities, one that uses a cannula for injection will help give results with little bruising or swelling; microsecond Nd:YAG laser treatments (Laser genesis) has produced dramatic improvement in discoloration in some of my patients and is safe in dark skin types, similar to the radiofrequency devices. For lifting, ablative laser resurfacing such as co2 laser combined with monopoloar radiofrequency deep heating (thermage) give amazing results. The key is for a patient to see a cosmetic dermatologist with experience in all the latest devices and techniques so the persons goals can be met by a combination approach of individualized treatments and skin care. In some cases, those who smile and have crepe skin or under eye wrinkles, a small amount of neurotoxin (botox, dysport, xeomin) strategically placed in the lower eyelid skin can improve wrinkles dramatically and give the eye a more "open" appearance.
