Doctors i need advice. Well it's been almost two years since I realized a breast augmentation under the muscle 300 ccs through the aerola gummy bear. I was patient I understand time is a big factor so they can adjust and everyone is different. However, something isn't right they look pointy? I feel like they need to drop more would I need to go back so they can reconstruct more space like under the breast so there's more room for them to sit something looks odd right? What can be done Thanks sm!
Answer: See your surgeon about shape concerns with implants Gummy bear implants are often used when there is a tubular shape to the breast with a constricted lower pole. Because they have a textured surface to prevent rotation, they are not expected to drop and settle. In your case it will be important to know what the shape of your implants is (horizontal or vertical oval base or round base), and what your pre-existing breast shape was. Your surgeon has these answers so he or she is the best person to ask.

Answer: Implant dropping Dear Natty14,dropping of implants is part of the healing process and this occurs after the tissues surrounding the implants slowly relax, allowing the implants to settle into their final position. It can take about four to six months for the implant to drop down to their final position.I understand that you are worried about your implants are not dropping as expected. However, you are still in the early phase of the recovery period. Please do allow some time for the healing process to occur. If after six months, you are not satisfied with the appearance of your breast, you can visit your plastic surgeon and discuss your concerns.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Answer: Breast shape Remember all an implant does is to fill your breast up, they look like they did before, just bigger. Some of the shape is likely related to your tight skin but there are some tings that can be done to modify this. Best is too see a board certified plastic surgeon and get an opinion on options, Dr EnnisDestin and Miami FL

Answer: Breast augmentation shape Thank you for your question and pictures. An in-person exam can even help more to determine how tight the skin and tissue is at the base of your breasts. Some patients have very tight lower poles of their breasts and the skin and tissue resist the expansion from the volume of the implant. Or, the muscle is left intact at the base of the breasts and is not allowing full relaxation of the pocket. Sometimes surgery can help relax the lower pole of the breast and force the implant to sit in a better location. But, an exam would help determine what is best. Your original surgeon may be able to help. If you end up seeing a second opinion, try to get copies of your preop breast photos and a copy of your operative note to bring with you to any consultation.

Answer: Breast Augmentation results. Hi! Thank you for your question. Being that you are 2 years post-op, your implants are most likely in their final position. An in-person evaluation is need to discuss the following questions: 1. Are they hard? 2. Do you have pain? 3. What did your breasts look like pre-operatively? Did your Physician state you had "tuberous breast" at anytime? 4. Did your original Physician release the muscle during your first procedure? Without the exam, it is hard to address your question completely. It would be best to get a couple opinions. Most Board Certified Plastic Surgeon's offer complimentary consultations for this reason. Good Luck!Dr. B Kopchinski, MD, FACS Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
