I just turned 59 in March. Im 5'9 135 lbs. I have long thin face. My cheeks and temples are starting to hollow out. My dermatologist suggests Sculptra to fill in theses areas and juverderm in marionette lines. I got second opinion from a nurse that does fillers and she said I might be too old for sculptra, she recommend Voluma. What do you think? Thanks,
Answer: Sculptra Is Great For Any Age and Really is the Foundation of Sculpting If you want true contouring and lifting of your face, Sculptra injections should be used as your base foundation with other fillers on top or around to give immediate lift and sustinance long term. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Is 59 too old for Sculptra? There is really not an upper age limit for the use of Sculptra in a patient. It is more important to evaluate the patient, regardless of age, to determine if they might be a good candidate for treatment or not. In general, both Sculptra and Voluma can give good results. Voluma would normally require fewer treatment sessions but usually would not last as long as the result achieved with a series of Sculptra treatments.

Answer: Not too old for Sculptra No. You are definitely not too old for Sculptra. Sculptra is a great foundation for facial volume rejuvenation. It provides a very natural infrastructure that can be built on as needed with other fillers. Do not let your age deter you.

Answer: Sculptra can work at any age Whether or not sculptra will be effective depends on how healthy your skin is. A young smoker with significant sun damage may be a poor candidate compared with an older non-smoker with minimal sun damage. So if your skin is in good condition, and you have no contraindications to treatment (like a history of keloid scars), your age should not deter you.

Answer: 59 is a perfect age for Sculptra for facial volumization At 59, there are several areas that need correction. Sculptra is great for this because it allows for a general complete facial volumization. Using HA fillers, you almost have to pick different areas to improve because it is often cost prohibitive to do the whole face. I have done some large volumes of HA's and they don't quite look as natural as a Sculptra patient as well. Response to Sculptra depends on overall health, sun damage, and whether you are a smoker or not.
