My sixth Vanquish treatment was Feb. 21st so I have until late May to see results. I feel like my thighs have gotten bigger because my inner thighs seem to hit together more than they used to. A friend had Kybella treatments which caused the neck skin to bulge and sag until the fat dissolved. Does Vanquish do the same thing? An ankle injury prevented me taking long walks as advised. Will lack of walking negate my treatment outcome or will my body eventually flush out the fat?
Answer: Vanquish Results--Add Coolsculpting for "Fire and Ice" treatment, Cellutone/ZWave, Massage With anything that causes deep heating of the tissue you can get swelling, which is impacting your current results. Your injury won't negatively impact your results. For best results with Vanquish, I combine with Coolsculpting for a "Fire and Ice" Treatment that improves fat reduction and skin tightening. I suggest cellutone or z wave at this time and light massage to decrease the swelling. If you are not happy with non surgical options, consider VASER HI DEF liposuction as an alternative. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Vanquish Hello there, It is possible for Vanquish to cause temporary swelling/inflammation, but this should resolve somewhat quickly. Lack of exercise will not damage the outcome (unless you gain weight of course), but it will definitely not allow you to reach maximal improvements. Like any body contouring procedure, diet and exercise are key to reach the best result. I would follow up with your provider. -Sarah RN BSN

Answer: Vanquish Results Thank you for your question. The Vanquish treatment process should not increase the size of your thighs during the course of the treatments. The important things to remember - hydration and physical activity. Vanquish must be accompanied by long term healthy activity levels if you want a lasting effect. Things to consider if you are not seeing the results you expected. Have you been weighing yourself on a regular basis and is your weight stable or trending down? Are you drinking 1.5-2.0 liters of water each day? Are you getting daily physical activity? Are you making healthy food choices? All of these are important to the long term success with Vanquish. Additional services can be combined with Vanquish Me to enhance the results including pre-heating the tissue with an RF device such as BTL Exilis or Venus Legacy, post treatment with low intensity shock wave therapy with BTL Cellutone or Zimmer Z wave. Individual responses will vary with the protocol used and your compliance with the hydration, nutrition and physical activity recommendations. I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.

Answer: Is there a period after Vanquish where the treatment area would expand before the fat is eliminated from the body? Hi there, No, there is not a time after the Vanquish where the treatment area/tissue expands before fat is eliminated. Typically, what happens is fat cells are destroyed in the treatment area and as you drink a lot of water the product is naturally eliminated through your body. I would strongly recommend that you continue a light to moderate exercise regimen and dramatically increase your water intake. Weigh and measure yourself every time you go in to visit the doctor. I do a ton of Vanquish in my office and think it is a fantastic and effective procedure. Good luck, Dr. Downie
