Sleepingpositions are tricky after that combined procedure. If you're comfortablesleeping on your tummy you can put a pillow under your hips. This keeps you ina slightly flexed position and takes all pressure off of your buttocks.Otherwise alternating side to side and slightly fetal position for the firstweek works. The priority is to protect the buttock fat transfer. The moment youare comfortable standing up straight you can sleep in all positions off of yourback for the first 10 days to 2 weeks.
Hello dear!!Thanks for the question and provided information as well. You can adopt the position that best suits you and in which you feel most comfortable, preferably on your sides. It helps to use several pillows to accommodate yourself. If you have any concerns, please follow up close with your plastic surgeon.Good luck :)
There are several disadvantages to having a Brazilian and abdominoplasty at the same time. There are also obviously many advantages. Generally you want to avoid putting a direct pressure and minimizing motion on areas that have been fat grafting. In order for the fat to get revascularized it has to be immobilized. Grafted tissue is at its most vulnerable between the fifth and 12th day. These are also days where it can be challenging to not put pressure on your bottom after an abdominoplasty. I encourage my patients to use pillows the best they can to avoid pressure on the area's grafted.Another option may be to sleep in a recliner again with pillows putting pressure on areas that were not treated with fat transfer. unfortunately we do not have a good scientific evidence telling us how importance avoiding pressure is after fat transfer. Most experts agree that avoiding pressure and minimizing motion are important for the longevity and percentage survival of transferred fat. Best,Mats Hagstrom M.D.
