1 year post op - Do I need a facelift revision? (Photos)

I am not sure who performed the surgery but it is important to ensure that you find a REAL plastic surgeon (certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery); ideally, this surgeon has also completed an accredited, endorsed Aesthetic Society fellowship with focus on the face. I would recommend a revision facelift/necklift with facial fat grafting.

Facelifts can be difficult. the question is when to revise. in your case there is still residual areas for improvement but sometimes its not where you ended up but where you started. That being said, a deep plane lift can often address many changes more powerfully, especially when done with an experienced facelift surgeon. Skin only approaches may not be best since tension on scars can lead to other issues and may not address issues as well as other approaches perhaps.

Sometimes a facelift needs to be tightened further in a shorter time period than expected. I agree there seems to be room for improvement with a secondary tightening

Although I generally recommend patients return to their operating Surgeon when unhappy, I am not recommending this for you. Pixie Ears are the sign of poor technique and judgment in facelift surgery. This isn't to be personally critical, but to highlight that this is a very avoidable and easily avoidable stigma in a facelift. A skin "tuck" is definitely not the solution. See somebody who performs a lot of facelift surgery ( at least 2 per week).

You did not post your before photos, but I suspect you have a noticeable difference. Go back to your surgeon and discuss your specific concerns and options.
