However, it's important to wait until your skin has enough laxity and there's sufficient skin to work with. It's crucial to give yourself and your body enough time to heal properly. Pixie ears can indicate that the skin has been excessively pulled, so it's important to wait. Typically, waiting a year between revisions is advisable, but some patients may require a longer timeframe.

Pixie ear deformity is due to excessive tension on the skin at the time of closure. The best way to fix this is a revision facelift. This will permit recruitment of the extra skin/tissue laxity by lifting and tightening the deeper tissues while alleviating the tension on the skin closure.

You will probably need revision surgery. Wait a full year to allow the skin to loosen a little bit, and then find a facelift specialist that is confident in fixing the issues you have. Usually old scars can be removed at that point. Until then, if the scars thicken, have them injected with a steroid to help soften them.
