What is the cheek implant removal process like, and how long will recovery take?

I had cheek implants about 6 weeks ago, and they are visibly crooked. They are silicone-based and screwed in. I want to know if cheek implant removal surgery will be as intense as the surgery to put them in. Is it possible to have them taken out with local anesthetic, or do I need to go under general anesthesia again? Also, how long is the recovery? Will the swelling period be as long?
