Allergic reaction to fillers. If I am allergic to one brand, would I be allergic to all?

Hi and thanks for your question. It's still possible that you had a cold sore even with a negative culture. An allergy to the filler is also a possibility. In that case, you can dissolve the filler with hyaluronidase, use steroids as you did, and benardryl. If you had an allergy, I would find a provider who can do testing or spot testing to see if another brand may work better for you. Best of luck!

It is still possible you had a cold sore eruption even though the culture was negative. It is also possible you had an allergic reaction, although the former is more likely. In any case, you should see the doctor that injected you and follow their recommendation. You may require a test to determine if you are indeed allergic.
