Nose was squishy. Had surgery 1 yr ago to fix deviated septum, valve collapse (rib graft), and re-build tip. No normal breathing improvement. The Tip, sides, front, are stiff like a muzzle. Columella seems wider near bottom post op making nostril holes smaller. Does wider columella reduce normal breathing? Can you thin it to increase space at entrance would it help? Risks? Would removing scar tissue from sidewalls (thick rib graft) help? How important is empty space? 55 yrs male.

Your nose looks long to me, with the tip hanging down, like the woman whose images I posted in the link with my answer. I'd like to see your tip come up, quite a bit actually. If most of the excess length is due to the grafts, then yes, the grafts would be trimmed, or more likely removed...
