If I Am Taking Augmentin and Had a Dysport Injections Will It Work?

Dysport as well as Botox and Xeomin will work while taking antibiotics such as Augmentim. However it is not recommended while you have an active infection and should not be used if you have acute sinusitis, a common reason to be treated with this medication.

In general, there should be no significant interaction between Augmentin and the effects of Dysport. Taking Augmentin should not have any effect on the results of a Dysport treatment.  There is no interaction between the two, so you should be fine to get the injection.  

Dysport is a neurotoxin, containing abobotulinum toxin A, designed to aesthetically minimize motion of the area around the brows and eyes.  Augmentin is a broad spectrum antibiotic that is used to treat infections with gram positive and some anaerobic bacteria.  However, Augmentin has no effect on the  efficacy of Dysport, which is effectively a toxin previously produced by a strain of bacteria (clostridium botulinum).

There is no issue in receiving Augmentin or any other commonly used antibiotic while receiving botulinum toxin injections such as Dysport or Botox.
