Dear MsNewBooty, It depends on the size of the implants and the implants' location in relation to the gluteal muscle. You can palpate the injection area and feel for the muscle, by tightening it. If the muscle is palpable, than your doctor can inject there, otherwise, he or she will have to do it in the thigh, or abdomen, or the upper arm. This is really a non issue and should not deter you from having the butt implants surgery, which is a great investment in yourself. It will increase your confidence, your self esteem, your sense of femininity and will make shopping fun. You have to realize that not all results are the same, because there are different implants and different techniques. Also, experience, technical skills and aesthetic eye are critical for good outcome. Always, consult with experienced board certified plastic surgeons who operate in accredited surgery center for your safety. Most importantly, check the before and after pictures in the photo gallery, to make sure that they are numerous, consistent and attractive with nice 'S' curve, nice projection, single low incision between the cheeks, round hips and natural look. Best of luck, Dr Widder
