I'm an exotic dancer getting a BBL how long would it be until I can go back to work.

Question

how long would it be until I can go back to work following this type of procedure. Will I swell out of my garment for few hours at night? Will it damage my body. Our dancing Is not rigorous more of swaying back and forth.

Thank you for your question. After a BBL, patients can return to light activities almost immediately after surgery, normal activities 2 weeks after surgery, and vigorous exercise 4 weeks after surgery.  We usually experience a slow steady improvement for 3 months or so after surgery. Regarding your dancing i would recommend to wait around 4 weeks. You should speak to your plastic surgeon directly to get the best informed response.  Don’t settle for less than a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with specialized expertise in this procedure.

We ask her patients to avoid putting pressure on the treated area and minimize physical activity for the first three weeks after the procedure.This is done to maximize the survival of the transferred fat.After that patients can engage in any physical activity they wish.Each plastic surgeon it will have their own protocol.Best,Mats Hagstrom M.D.
