How can I get rid of old scars on my legs from a hot water burn? (Photos)

Question

I’ve scratches & scars on my leg from old injuries and hot water burn. How do I get rid of them ? Will I find a doctor that can treat this for me with laser or cream? I’ve tried creams with 4% Hydroquinone, it didn’t help. I’m so conscious of it & would love to get rid of them.

Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis for most deep scars. The options available for acne scars depend on the character of your scars, in terms of topography and contour. We see atrophic and hypertrophic acne scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. We begin each scar evaluation with an assessment of scar quality and subtype. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. Patients should start Melarase AM and Melarase PM for active hyperpigmentation. Always begin with a consultation to decide whether early subcision should be started.

Thanks for your question and posting pictures.  The dark spot sound like you have post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH).  You also have some underlying scarring that would also be helped.After a personal consultation, we would probably recommend the PicoSure Laser with the FOCUS Lens for pigment and texture correction.  PicoSure is safe for all skin types.  Depending on the severity of the pigment and stretch marks, it will probably take 4 to 6 treatments.  Best of luck.
