Thank you for your question. Yes PicoSure is safe for a PA to administer on tattoo treatment. The PicoSure is FDA-approved and highly effective for removing regrettable tattoos and scars. However it is always best to get a in person consultation from a board-certified dermatologist.
Thank you for your question. Yes, PicoSure is very safe and a properly trained PA can administer treatment. Picosure is the best laser for treating tattoos. It has a short pulse duration that exceeds photothermal action and results in an intense photomechanical impact. This adds up to faster results and fewer treatments when compared to other tattoo removal methods. It works best on darker inks such as black and blue. The number of sessions required to remove a tattoo can range from 6-10 sessions. The amount of sessions depends on the size, color and placement of the tattoo. The further the tattoo is from the heart the more time it will take to remove. Please see and expert for a consultation to determine the best treatment plan for you. Best of Luck!
Almost all aesthetic treatments can be safely delegated to properly trained staff. PicoSecond lasers are significantly safer and have less complications than the older q-switch/nonsecond lasers. The safety is also in the settings. Most physicians will review the settings with the clinician prior to treatment. Best of luck!
Every state has it's own regulations on who is legally permitted to perform laser treatments, such as the PicoSure for tattoo removal. In California where I practice for example, mid-level practitioners such as PAs and RNs are allowed to administer these services. The most important thing to look for when choosing a provider for your laser services is extensive training in both the procedure and the laser device they are utilizing. For example, I would rather visit a PA with extensive training who performs these services regularly than visit a physician who has little training and has not performed many tattoo removal treatments. I hope this helps!
I would strongly suggest you go to a real doctors office and not just a medispa for treatment. the PIcosure laser is very safe and is the best laser to treat tattoos. Estheticians go to school and do many hours of training so that they can do such procedures. i have had my estheticians thoroughly trained in the Pico laser and they do almost all of my treatments for me. you will find that this will vary from state to state.david berman md
