Clear chest before augmentation, Breakouts afterwards?

my upper chest area(mostly) and (less) my actual breasts are developing large, sore bumps that turn into actual pimples. Love the augmentation results! but this does take away from some of the excitement :( 7 weeks postop, under muscle. 450cc. scars are almost invisible! Is this normal?

Thank you for sharing your question and I am sorry to hear of your breakouts.  Due to the skin stretch and swelling that accompanies a breast augmentation it is not uncommon to have some minor pimples develop during recovery.  These will clear as your results continue to mature and your skin softens and relaxes.  I would continue keeping the skin clean and well-moisturized and allow more time to pass.  Hope this helps.

A breast augmentation can cause hyper metabolic activity in the skin. This can translate into a temporary out break of acne. Report this to your surgeon.

This can occur after breast augmentation surgery.  it is important to discuss this with your surgeon to ensure nothing concerning is happening and to be examined in person. On occasion a topical or oral antibiotic may be prescribed to help clear this up. Good luck
