Will getting a chemical peel reduce the redness?

Question

3 months ago I got a scab from rubbing the area between my eyebrows with a towel a little to roughly. Unfortunately, I peeled the scab because I was impatient and redness resulted. Now I have a light brown skin tone so when I get post inflammatory hyper pigmentation, the color of it is usually purple or brown. However, the color of this blemish is red and it has been around for 3 months now. Will getting a chemical peel get rid of it. I have already used products like Tri-Luma and Ambi

No,
this should be left to heal without treating with a chemical peel. The most important things
to do are protect it from the sun, use a silicone based scar fade gel, and
consider pulsed dye laser treatments. Once it has been three to six months
after the injury, then pulse dye laser treatments would be recommended to help
reduce and improve of the red blemish that you are noticing.

The redness resulting from prior inflammation will not improve with a chemical peel and might even worsen.  If your story is correct, then the best remedy would be cautious treatment with Intense Pulsed Light or a Pulse Dye Laser from a Dermatologist experienced with post inflammatory lesions.

A chemical peel is not the solution.  I would continue to try the skin lightening agents and a topical steroid for at least 4 - 6  months.
