Have a huge dent in my 4 day post op Brazilian butt lift! Any suggestions? (photos)

Question

I was told this dent was inflammation and due to my drain cord being wrapped around my body and would even out with compression and fluid drainage. However, the dent doesn't look like inflammation to me...I thought inflammation was swelling and would get big not flat....Please advise.

HiThanks for the question.  are you talking about the dent at the top of the picture above your butt crease?  Its hard to say but this soon after surgery your buttock will be swollen with fat and fluid from inflammation.  That fluid is very "moldable", which means that if you pressed against it for a period of time, you would squish all the fluid out and push it into the surrounding tissue which would give the illusion of a dent in the middle of all that swollen tissue.  So its really hard to say without examining you.  I wouldn't worry about it right now because its way to soon to worry, and way to soon to do anything even if it really is a dent that won't improve. Meet with your surgeon in the next week and voice your concerns, but my guess is they will reassure you and tell you to give it some more time.Good Luck

Thanks for the question and provided information as well.
You are still early in the healing process, it can take up to six months to see your final results, so please be patient. At the stage you are in, inflammation is normal.
I suggest my patients try the lymphatic massages and to use a full body compression garment, 24/7 for the first 3 months, and after that, for 12 hours a day for 3 more months, to get the best results.
It is important for the compression garment to be very tight, for it to help with the swelling, after surgery. Please, follow up close with your plastic surgeon.
