Should I switch back from Rogaine to Keranique?

This is best answered with an in-person evaluation. I recommend getting a consultation with a cosmetic dermatologist with experience in hair restoration and maintenance. There are some great options for hair restoration and maintenance like prp injections which can stimulate hair growth. Hope this helps.

Check the concentration of minoxidil. Keranique has 2 % and Rogaine has 5 % (at least in the widely used foam). Many patients lose hair when they use less minoxidil. Also, see a dermatologist to review the cause of your scaly, irritated scalp. There are a few dozen causes. 

When you stop minoxidil or go down to a lower dose of minoxidil, hairs that were grown by this drug at the higher cooncentration may fall out and cause shedding because these hairs have built a dependency upon the higher dose of minoxidil.
