I got the Vi Peel because of dark spots on my face, the peel didn’t work at all. Options?

Hello i got the vipeel because i dark spots on my face, the peel didn’t work at all. The dark spots stilll there. I don’t know what to do. My doctor can’t tell me where they come from.

thank you for your question. for hyperpigmentation it is recommended to get 3-4 peels 4-6 weeks apart using the precision plus booster and of course, use SPF in between peels.

The more potent VI with precision may better suit your needs. Although the ads show remarkable results if you look at the fine print the patient received 3-5 peels between 3-4 weeks apart.I would want to know what caused these dark areas to form, trauma? Medication? Sunburn? Then pice a plan to treat them. Normally its about 3 Vi peels to see a significant pigment loss, after that i would consider a Q switched YAG laser to break up the pigments.

Hi and thank you for your question. Our facility usually recommends a series of 3 peels done every 4 weeks to achieve the desired results. The first peel will sometimes cause brown spots to rise to the surface that may not be visible before the treatment. Also, your home care regimen after the peel is very important and should be discussed with your provider. It is very important to follow the protocol and instructions for better results. Also, I would recommend adding the booster, VIPeel Precision Plus for the treatment of hyperpigmentation or brown spots.
