Hello ladysmileeyes,I appreciate your questions! Based on my experience performing buttocks augmentation procedures, diabetic patients are not automatically disqualified from getting a Brazilian Butt Lift surgery (BBL). However, before committing to a BBL procedure, patients should be in good physical and mental health. Preferably, they must be free of any active diseases that could make them unable to endure the surgery recovery period. Medical conditions like diabetes increase the risk of complications (such as infections), if the diabetes is not controlled adequately. Set up an in-person consultation with an experienced plastic surgeon to get an assessment on your candidacy for BBL surgery. During the first consultation, you will the opportunity to discuss your specific needs and cosmetic goals. Kind regards! Dr. De La Cruz.
Hi and welcome to our forum!Diabetes per se is not a contraindication to performance of a Brazilian butt lift. However, is important to have your blood sugar under control. An A1C study will confirm this. Associated potential abnormalities must be investigated as there is an increased risk of vascular complications, including cardiac disease. It is best to undergo surgery in the morning hours.I recommend an evaluation by a board certified plastic surgeon.Best wishes.
