Hi, I recently have breast augmentation looking for asymmetric results. I got 350cc in left breast and 375cc on right, armpit incision high profile round silicone gel sub-muscular. Is been 6 weeks after my surgery massaging twice at day, only my right breast. and I don’t see any improvement actually My left breast still looking more bigger and drop than the right one. This will change at all? Or will need at scar revision?, what went wrong? I need second opinion because to me this doesn’t look right.
Answer: 6 months to settle Thanks so much for reaching out. You are still very early in the postoperative period, it may take up to six months for everything to get into place. However it may be that your left breast implant has fallen too far. In general armpit approaches are associated with a higher incidence of malposition. I would wait until the six month mark before making a decision on having a revision.I hope this helps :-)

Answer: 6 weeks post op breast augmentation for asymmetry. Don't see any improvement. Will this change? You are still early in the healing process and what you are seeing are not your final results yet. You are still experiencing swelling and tissue tightness at this point in time, which can temporarily cause asymmetry between the breasts, as each heal at different rates. Your implants will drop into their pockets as you heal through the coming months when the breast tissues start to relax. It usually takes around 6 months to fully heal and only then will you be able to conclude your results.

Answer: Breast asymmetry I understand your concern. Implants tend to magnify any asymmetry that is present. It is much too early in the healing process to pass any judgement. It takes 6 months or sometimes longer to see the final results as the pocket relaxes and the implants fall. Also, the two sides often heal at different rates. I would continue the post-op protocol and follow up with your surgeon regularly and r-eevaluate a 6 months. Good luck!
