Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, it is difficult to give you a specific recommendation based on the images you provided. I would need to assess you in person and have a detailed discussion about your cosmetic goals in order to determine the right size implant for you. I can tell you that your choice of surgeon is the most important to ensure a successful procedure. Make sure you work with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon who will have the expertise to know the best implant option for you.
There are many aspects that go into the sizing for chin enhancement surgery. Photos, clinical exam and sometimes a 3D CT. In females, the use of larger implants can sometimes make the chin appear wider and masculine. The depth of the mentolabial fold is always a consideration. In large advancements, I often prefer a genioplasty to provide the most natural appearance ( moving your own chin forward).
You would definitely benefit from a chin augmentation. I always recommend an extended implant that will address the pre-jowl area. this way the implant will blend naturally along the jawline. As for size I always measure with sizes determine what is best. Please consult with an experienced facial plastic surgeon.
Dear Warmhearted474458,it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
It appears that a chin implant would make a beautiful difference to your jawline. Truthfully, however, without a physical examination, it is impossible to determine what size you would need. At the very least, a view of the full face would be helpful, because faces are not just disparate parts that assemble to make a whole, but should have harmony (which manifests as beauty) when these different parts properly relate to each other. As a board certified plastic surgeon, I prefer to insert the implant intraorally, rather than putting a scar on the outside of your chin. I often carve implants to perfectly fit my patients’ anatomy. Please consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon for an in -person consultation to ensure the best outcome.
Much more information is needed to make that determination. The chin, the mandible, and the implants are three-dimensional structures, and the augmentation occurs in all three dimensions. Depending upon the size, shape, and the manufacturer, they vary quite a bit. In our practice when placing Chin implants for women, we use mostly size small.
Hello and thank you for your question. Unfortunately, it is difficult to tell from the images alone whether you would benefit more from facial liposuction to remove submental fat under the chin or a mandibular implant to provide more definition to the jawline. It is also possible you would see...
This really comes down to the current relationship of your teeth (dental occlusion). Orthognathic surgery will address both the relationship of your teeth as well as your profile from an aesthetic standpoint. A chin implant could definitely address your chin profile but it would not help with...
Typically we use lateral facial x-rays to assess bone structure just behind the implant. Your dental x-ray is shot from the opposite angle. Good looking teeth though. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
Facial implants are available in a multitude of shapes and sizes. They can also be modified easily during the procedure. The cost should not be much more than you paid for your procedure. Real South has excellent data on actual prices paid for various cosmetic surgery procedures. Simply search...
It would be very difficult to give you meaningful advice based on these photos. It appears that you may benefit from temporal and chin implants; however, I am not sure that you need mandible angle implants since you have significant lower facial width? Only on the basis of in person consultation...
If the goal is an overall improved lower facial third by augmentation than a complete jawline approach is what is needed. What type of changes and where along the jawline they need to be is the key to deterring what augmentation technique is best for you. The best overall effect is always...
