Hello, I am a 23 yr old male who weighs about 145 lbs and had malocclusion growing up. I had a little bit of an overbite growing up but this problem has since been largely resolved with braces. However, I notice from a side profile that my lower jaw is quite receded where my lower jaw is angled downward and my chin is recessed quite a bit from my lips. I was wondering if I could fix this problem with a chin implant or whether I need something wholesale like orthognathic surgery.

Typically we use lateral facial x-rays to assess bone structure just behind the implant.
Your dental x-ray is shot from the opposite angle. Good looking teeth though.
