Can Botox cause an inflammatory response and if so, to what extent/how long? Thanks!

Thank you for your question. From your description, it sounds as if you are extremely sensitive to a variety of toxins, which in this case, may include Botox. One of the side effects of Botox is inflammation, which while rare, can still occur. In addition, people with autoimmune issues may also have problems with Botox - again, it’s rare, but possible. I recommend that you talk to your doctor and get their opinion on whether or not you should continue. There are other options for treating hyperhidrosis, including MiraDry, which is a non-chemical treatment. That may be your best bet, as you don’t want to continue to overtax your system. Good luck!

Although Botox has been used for decades it is still a toxin. There can always be adverse side effects. If you are experiencing an inflammatory response to other things you may have been exposed to, I would recommend decrease you chances of adding another toxin to your body unnecessarily until you are back to feeling good and being healthy. For clients who want to go a more natural way, typically will try PRP or microneedling to help with fine lines and wrinkles. Good luck
