It isn't uncommon for patients to complain of post op rib pain. Possibly due to how you were positioned on the table and/or you could be holding your body differently to compensate for your abdominal scar. Let your surgeon know about your pain, but it should resolve on its own with time. My best,Dr. Sheila Nazarian@drsheilanazarian on Instagram
Thank you for your question. Patients occasionally experience pot-op rib pain following tummy tuck surgery. It's most likely positional. I would follow up with your plastic surgeon for an in-person examination. Good luck with your recovery.
So sorry to hear of your rib pain. Having done this operation for years, I do not hear of this post op problem. How long ago was your surgery? If no lipo was done ,I would call my surgeon and ask for a post op visit today. I'm sure it is nothing ,but these issues always need to be confronted immediately. Wishing you the best.
It is not uncommon to feel soreness in your abdomen after a tummy tuck. Tightening (placating) the muscles will cause general tightness with movement and coughing but this does get better with time. How long ago was your surgery? Generally patients are able to resume full activites and exercise 6 weeks after surgery and the soreness will continue to improve. If it persists then you need to contact your surgeon.

it is uncommon to have pain in your ribs following tummy tuck surgery. In my opinion, this is probably skeletal in nature related to your positioning on the table during surgery or during recovery.I recommend that you contact your surgeon and have him check it out. He will be best to advice you.
Although it's common to still be sore at 5 weeks, what you are describing isn't normal. Make an appointment to see your surgeon as soon as possible to get this assessed in person. I am so sorry that this is happening to you. My best, Dr. Sheila Nazarian @drsheilanazarian on Instagram
We usually recommend that patients hold off on that kind of activity for 4 to 6 weeks after a tummy tuck and get back to it gradually. Have in mind that strain or a fall can create significant damage with bleeding, infection, and other with unnecessary complications, so go easy on yourself. Good...
Thank you for your question and pictures. If you can, ask your Plastic Surgeon if he used Ethibond sutures on you muscles. If so, these sutures can cause long term problems with drainage and pus which may not be visible on CT scan. Try to contact your Plastic Surgeon for more information.
Yes, all piercings must be removed before surgery for safety reasons. But you can speak with your surgeon re: putting your piercings back in while you are in recovery. My best, Dr. Sheila Nazarian @drsheilanazarian on Instagram
My guess is that this is just a term coined by that surgeon to describe a tummy tuck with liposuction. It's not something that I've heard used.My best, Dr. Sheila Nazarian @drsheilanazarian on Instagram
You look as if your body is healing well so I'm not sure that the honey will make a difference. However, if you like it, then yes, include it as part of your regime. Eat right. Drink water. Stay away from smoke. Get enough rest. Those are the most important things you can do to heal your body.My...
