Veneers to fix a deep bite? (Photo)

In order to fix a deep overbite, you need to see an expert dentist near you for a complete evaluation with xrays,models, and comprehensive exam.
You usually can have deep overbite correction with orthodontics, the other way is through building up the back teeth, dental reconstruction, in which if the teeth are healthy instead of crowning them, porcelain onlays or veneer onlays can open the bite, so you do not have much overbite in the front area.

Improving a "deep bite" with dental restorations is complicated and should be done slowly and incrementally using reversible techniques to allow time or reverse treatment if pain or TMD symptoms occur.  Botox can be an adjunct to aid the masseter muscles in some individuals as it can take months to get comfortable (or less) with deep bite correction.  After transitional correction, a plan can be made to make the NEW bite more durable and long lasting using ceramics....think crowns or onlays as you will probably develop an open bite with your front teeth and veneers may not be sufficient up front.I always like to have a diagnostic "wax up" of the before and after in dental models prior to starting as your cosmetic goals can be better communicated with the dentist and/or dental lab.  Your dentist can do this and is extremely valuable and worth the cost as it is a small fraction of the overall costs generally.
