During my consultation, the doctor told me Bella fill can only be performed from cheek down. According to the doctor, the skin are more delicated around eye area. But when I did my research on you tube, I saw many doctors are performing Bella fill around the eye area and and on forehead. If the outcome is not going to become out good, why is it other doctor do it on those areas?
Answer: Bellafill in the Forehead and Around the Eyes Hi and thanks for your question. I love Bellafill and use often, but....Bellafill can be used in those areas, but I would ask why would you want to? If around the eyes you are talking about the tear trough area, then I would strongly caution you against it. Hyaluronic acid filler in the tear troughs lasts for up to 10 years. And it is completely reversible. The tear trough is an area where filler can change contour over time. What looks good at one point may be bumpy later. Bellafill gives you no advantage, since reversible filler lasts for such a long time in the area. The forehead is a very tricky area to inject. The contour has to be flawless and there is very little tissue thickness available to camouflage a less than perfectly smooth result. That is a tough project for any filler, much less a non reversible one. I would caution against using Bellafill in that area as well. These are tricky areas, even for the best injectors in the world. I would recommend HA there. Hope that helps

Answer: Can Bellafill be performed on the forehead, around or under the eyes area? Thank you for sharing your excellent question. Because of its semi-permanent nature it is important to have Bellafil injected by a specialist. It can be placed into the forehead and around the eyes without issue. Hope this helps.

Answer: Bellafill on the forehead--results take several weeks Yes, Bellafill can be used on the forehead, but you'll want to see someone meticulous. Keep in mind, it takes several weeks for results with Bellafill. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Permanent filler The use of a permanent filler such as Bellafil has FDA approval only for nasolabial folds but as in many other cases this is an FDA restriction without evidence based studies or real world use. I have used this type of filler for any area in the face including under the eyes but it has to be performed adequately by an experienced surgeon. I think that it should be applied only with a cannula and deep to the orbicularis muscle to get good results. I have seen many cases of real problems caused by inexperienced operators using it inapproprately.

Answer: Bellafill for the forehead and tear trough - best to use other fillers The forehead and eye area are some of the more difficult areas to treat with fillers. I prefer to use diluted Defyne in the forehead because it integrates with the skin well and blends into the contours well. Bellafill can lead to nodules in areas of high movement such as the forehead. Around the eye, the same problem with excessive movement leads to more nodularity. Also, skin is thin in this are and injections must be perfect to not be obvious. Also, aging around the eye is progressive and its hard for a permanent filler to age appropriately in this area. I might use some judicious use of Bellafill deeply and then overlay HA on top of it. Keep in mind that HA filler lasts a long time in the tear trough and periocular area, several years in some.
